Trados Studio 2024 SR1 - 18.1.2.6370 - Error: “Not enough disk space on C:\”.

I have Trados Studio 2024, and it stopped working with an error message saying that there is not enough space on the C:\ drive. I deleted many temporary and unnecessary files to free up space, but it still didn’t work. Is it possible to run Trados from the D:\ drive instead? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Question improvement suggestion: Provide more details about the current disk space situation and any specific steps you've already taken to resolve the issue.

In the meantime, based on the information you have provided, here is a suggested answer to your question:

    Hello!

Step 1: First, ensure that you have indeed cleared enough space on your C:\ drive. You can check the available disk space by right-clicking on the C:\ drive in File Explorer and selecting 'Properties'.

Step 2: If you still encounter the "Not enough disk space" error, you can try running Trados Studio from the D:\ drive. To do this, you will need to change the default file location for your projects.

Step 3: Open Trados Studio and navigate to 'File' > 'Setup' > 'Locations'.

Step 4: In the 'Download path for cloud projects' field, click the 'Browse' button and select an empty folder on your D:\ drive.

Step 5: Click 'OK' to save the changes. This should direct Trados Studio to save your project files to the new location on the D:\ drive.

Step 6: If you continue to experience issues, consider checking for any temporary files or system files that may still be occupying space on your C:\ drive. You can use the Disk Cleanup tool to help with this.

  • I have 6,04 GB of space in C, and 620 GB in D. Is it enough to run Trados 2024?
