Hi Daniel,

This is an alpha numeric text and not a number. If you wish to find these too you just set up a custom rule using regex to check for the pattern of thread sizes. So look for something like this in the source:

(M[0-9.]+)

Then use the Grouped Search expression to check that the target contains the same thing.

actually what we want is:

regardless how many letters there are in a word + a number somewhere in the word.

if the number somewhere in the word is not the same in both source and target segment then give an error?

is this even possible to make a regex pattern for this?

ok - now that I tested it I see what you did wrong.  You enter it like this in Studio:

Then it seems to work perfectly.

It still doesn't select "M8" as error.

I want to get an error from the text "M8"(target segment)

because it says in source text is: "m6"

I found another good Regex to use in regular expression for the QA checker settings.

RegEx source:
(\w*\d+\w{1,})
RegEx target:
$1
(Grouped search expression – report if source matches but not target)

(see picture)

Let me know if there is any more good Regex patterns we could put to collect bad errors in the qa checker.
