Problems with termbases in Studio 2014, "general massive catastrophic system failure"

Question

Studio does not connect to existing termbases any more (terminology recognition does not work any more). It also refuses to accept a termbase when I create a project, reporting a "general massive catastrophic system failure". I can still work with translation memories but not with my termbases any more. I had upgraded to Windows 10 recently, but Studio worked fine with it in the beginning. Can anybody help?

Does this happen with every termbase or just your existing ones? Can you create a new one and add it to your Projects? Have you upgraded 2014 to the latest versions of 2014 for Studio and MultiTerm (it's important they are both the latest). I think for 2014 this should be: 
 
Studio 2014 SP2 - 11.2.4422.11 
 
MultiTerm 2014 SP2 - 11.2.1379.0

Hi Werner, 
 Did you try a repair on Studio and MultiTerm through the windows control panel? If you did and it didn't help then I think you should log a support case for this. This would count as an installation issue and it can be achieved really quickly using this link:

 Just fill in the form and submit it. If you can, use the Chrome browser to log the case, you'll get more success in completing the form, and make sure your email address is entered correctly or nobody will be able to get back in touch with you.

This error is definitely a valid installation support request so you should have been helped with this when you first reported it. I am going to log a case for each of you this morning and a support engineer will be in touch in due course.
