In German we have that quite often:
A number followed by a dot in the middle of a sentence. Like "Ich war in der 3. Reihe"
Studio will typically segment after such number. I need to prevent that without having to add all the ordinal followers...

Yes, a great idea to make segmentation rules independent of the TM.

Could you tell me if it works when added in an ongoing project?
I've just tried to add here (Studio 2021) and it doesn't seem to work. What I've done:
Sentences like "1. Text" are still being separated into different segments.

After adding your new segmentation rule, did you add the files again to your project? Remember that segmentation rules are not applied to already prepared (converted) files.

Yes, I did. Since I hadn't started working on the file, I deleted it and readded it, but it doesn't seem to work yet.
Any clues?
PS. Not sure if it changes something, but it's an Excel file.
