Problem adding termbase after installing SR2

After the installation of yesterday's service releases (I installed the SR2 updates to Trados Studio 2015 and MultiTerm), I can no longer add termbases to my Trados projects. I am able to open the termbase I want to use in MultiTerm, so it does not appear to be an issue with the termbase. Can anyone please help, I really need to use termbases in Trados for some of my projects?

Kind regards,
Johanna

  • Hi Kim,

Thanks for bringing this over to the community... easier to discuss these things in here!  The problem seems to be related to the location of the TBs and we are working on a number of fixes (this one included) at the moment.  It only affects SR2.  So if you can move your TBs to your local drive and not the external local one, then it should work.

You might also find this solution useful too:

You should be able to access the mapped drive letters in the Open File-based Termbase dialog. and if not you should at least be able to enter the file path directly into the File name field, for example "X:\Termbases\mytermbase.sdltb" and press Enter. On the other hand this could possibly be down to the operating system so perhaps it does not work for you.

Yes, as far as I can tell this is only a problem in this new update and the mapped drive has been proven to work in at least one instance where it did not work with the unc path in SR2.
