Word count statistics not updating properly as I translate in Studio 2015

The word count statistics at the bottom right of the editor screen are not updating properly as I translate. They start off OK, but stop at some point during the translation process and stay the same throughout. Even though all segments are confirmed, it still shows a certain figure to be inserted. Of course, this means that in the project it looks as though the job isn't finished, even though it is. I've tried running the word count batch task but to no avail. If I close the file and then try and open it again from my file folder, the word count resets, but that's a pain when I'm working within a project. Any idea why it does this or how I can fix it?

I'm also having a problem where occasionally I open a job that's already translated from the project list and it shows briefly on the editor screen, but then disappears. Again I can only open it from the xliff file in my files folder. What am I doing wrong?

Many thanks.

  • Hei, with respect to this: "Even though all segments are confirmed, it still shows a certain figure to be inserted. Of course, this means that in the project it looks as though the job isn't finished, even though it is."
I had the same problem once and I found out that there is a difference between "All segments" and "All content" if you go to"Review" tab. In the specific file, where I had translated all segments, but it still only showed 92%, after I changed under "Review" from "All segments" to "all contents", a lot of segments with formatting content became visible, that were however not displayed in the editor for translation. So it seems that in this specific file the statistics was calculated based on "All content" and not based on "Segments to be translated". After sending the file and it was opened by the agency, it showed 100% for them.
