Studio error message: target language does not match the expected project language

Question

Hallo, 
 I am using Studio 2015, SR2. 
 I have created a project by making the relevant project settings like TM, TM, Language pair, translation direction etc.. 
 However, when try to click on a file to start translation, an error message: 
 
 saying that the "target language does not match the anticipated project language" 
 I am trying to translate DE to EN (UK). and so far as I can see this setting is correct. 
 Studio only gives issues this error message but I have not seen where - if possible - I could make changes check? 
 Can some one help me here with please?.

Hi Shyam, 
 
Perhaps check that the project template you are using for these files does have the languages you wish to use in it? I wouldn't expect this error to be thrown but you never know.

Now that you show this screenshot I'm less worried. This isn't an error, it's just telling you the verification failed because the language codes are wrong. You can turn off the verification if you don't want it. Check the filetype verification settings.

Hi Sebastian, Sometimes life can be so easy. Thanks for your wonderful tip. One and half days of troubleshooting is over. I tried in two files, changed the "de" to "de-de" and "en" to "en-gb" as you suggested -- it worked immediately. Also the warning posted above (in single file translation mode has disappeared. I now need to change all files accordingly and then the I can proceed. Many thanks also to Paul, Jerzy and Walter for all their efforts in trying to help me Best regards Shyam

Hi Shyam, 
 
I made a mistake here. I thought deactivating the schema validation (you are using XLF and not XML based on earlier posts in this thread) would prevent this from messaging but it doesn't. Sorry. 
 
However, it is only a message telling you the language codes are not fully qualified. You should be able to simply ignore the message and still handle the files. Or, do as Sébastien said and correct the codes in the XLF.
