Problem with auto-propagating of mesaurements still not fixed?

I am still able to reproduce this problem in the newest version of Trados Studio:

  • Hi,

All functions related to auto-substitution and auto-propagation work basically correct in Studio 2015. However, you have to take into account two things.

Firstly, if you create a new project from scratch based on the default template, then the settings for measurement auto-substituion are not inherited from the default template. It means, that even when you have set the default setting to "Always insert normal space between ...” or other, the project will be created with the first setting "Use the same spacing between ...".
You need to change this setting after you create the project.
Measurement auto-substituion inheritance works correctly when you create a project based on another project or a previously saved template.
In my view, it is a bug, but you can live with it if you know about it.

Secondly, you have to remember that when you open the file in the editor view and change measurement auto-substituion settings in the project settings, these setting will be effective only after the file is closed and re-opened. Stricktly speaking, the new settings will work effective immediately in the case of auto-substitution (translations will be correctly applied from translation memory), but will not work in the case of auto-propagation (in such case you need to re-open the file).
In my view, it is also a bug, but you can live with it if you know about it.
