That's a usecase I haven't seen before and the only way I could find to tackle this is as follows... note that I am basing this on you wanting to keep other tracked changes in the file so it's only these specific ones you want to change.

1. I have a test file reviewed like this:
   
   
   
2. Now, I want to remove only the tracked changes on "exam" and revert back to "test" with no track changes showing for "test".  So first I export for External Review (one of your favourites ;-))  I have this:
   
   
   
   
3. Next I turn off Track Changes in Word and search and replace "testexam" with "test", so now it looks like this:
   
   
   
4. Now I save the review file and Update from External Review.. looks like this:
   

Seems to have done the trick.  So maybe you can try something like this?  I'd back up all your files before you mess around with this but it seems to work in principle.

I tried this in Studio first to see whether it would work there without the export/import but clearly the track changes tags get in the way in this environment.
