MultiTerm not modifiable in TradosStudio 2015 SR2 (12.2.5099.5) - script error upon clicking on fields.

As the title says, a script error in traverse.js (Line 19, Char 3: "Attribute 'match' cannot be called from undef or Null reference", Code 0) is thrown any time I try to add/modify/delete any terms from within Studio, i.e. when I click on anything in the term window besides the upper save/discard buttons. This behaviour began after I installed the latest SR2, I think. The native MultiTerm program works just fine, so it's probably an interface thing between Studio and MultiTerm.

Is there a way that's not "reinstall Studio/MultiTerm"? A correction to the JavaScript, maybe? Many thanks for any pointers!

  • OK, for anyone reading this, who is getting the "traverse.js" problem when trying to edit termbase entries in the Termbase Viewer, I solved it! This is what I just wrote Support:

Subject: I figured out the previous "traverse.js" error!!
Description: I solved the issue from Case 00193632 (now closed), with subject: "traverse.js" error, when trying to edit TB inside Studio 2015.
I am able to reproduce the problem by doing the following:

Open Web Lookup > Settings > Advanced
    Change browser version to 11

Upon a restart, I am no longer able to edit any entries in the Termbase Viewer, and get the old "traverse.js" error (see screenshot).

If I change the browser version back to 7, the problem goes away!

So, there was no need to reinstall Windows ;-) The problem had nothing to do with my system (which is what Support told me after lots of thinking, one or two Citrix sessions, etc.).

    Regards,
