trados 2015 error value

Question

Hi all, I installed trados 2015 a couple of months ago, and windows 10 a couple of weeks ago and since then every time I start trados up I get the following message: waarde kan niet null zijn. Parameternaam: type. I have been ignoring it, closing the screen and getting on with my work. What does it mean and do I need to take action?

Hi Susan, 
 
I think I'd do a repair installation for Studio via the windows control panel. If that doesn't help then try renaming this folder (just add _old to the end or something, it's not important what you rename it to) and restart Studio: 
 
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\SDL\SDL Trados Studio\12.0.0.0 
 
If it still won't go away I'd recommend you log a case with support. This can be achieved really quickly using this link:
