Reviewing

Is it possible to review a document in Studio 2015 if I received two files one source the other target language not translated in Trados?

  • Hi Viviana,

I guess you mean you have two word files, or something like that.  One translated and the other the other the original source?

If this is correct then you could tackle this a number of ways.

    Way #1

    1. Align the files to create a Translation Memory
    2. Open the source as a translation
    3. Pre-translate from the TM
    4. Review and save the new reviewed target

    Way #2

    1. Open the target file
    2. Copy source to target
    3. Do a monolingual review

Which one you choose really depends on you and what you are expected to deliver to your client.  Maybe someone else will have some different ideas.

    Does this help?

    Regards

    Paul
