Perhaps you can resolve this as follows:

1. Open the original source file again as if it was a new project
2. Use a different filetype to the one you are using now.  Studio 2015 has these options for Word:
   
3. So if the 2007-2013 was at the top disable it so you use the 2007-2016, if it was the other way around do the opposite.
4. In general the new 2007-2016 is a better filetype and more tempered wrt problematic word files.
5. The pretranslate the file from your TM and try to save target again

You must change the filetype before you open the file in Studio as a new project of course.

I used the file type MS Word 2007 - 2016 as the file is a docx and for some reason the drop down table in my Studio does not provide the option of 2007-2010 for docx. Just tried the same again by creating a new project from scratch. But the problem persists. The saved target file cannot be opened.
