Cannot add term to termbase

I have a Studio project with the language combination EN_CA/DA_DK for which I created a termbase with the Glossary Plugin, but I am unable to add terms to it. Neither the shortcut Ctrl + F2 or the Add new term in the ribbon (greyed out) works. I tried with both English (Canada) and English as source language, but neither works. I have done this many times before with other source languages, but English (Canada) is not one of the languages I selected on installation. I am using Trados Studio 2015 Freelance. How can I make this work?

  • Hi Trine,

There's a couple of things worth noting here.

If you select English, any flavour, then you get them all (circa 60 variants I think!).  So no need to worry about that.

Maybe make sure that the index is set in your termbase settings in Studio.  Sometimes it's not specified and this might cause the problem you are having:
