Pseudo translation

This weekend I have been translating for a client in france, and I have had to use pseudo translation because it was not for the entire document. Well so I used deterministict pseudo translation and the document filled in spanish with a translation that was a lie, otherwise not in english, and when exporting the translation document, this went out with the pseudo translation and with the translation for the segments I had to translate.

Can anyone of you explain to me why the document went out with the pseudo translation and with the translation, otherwise not only with the translation in spanish and that is all?

Could anyone of you help me to know how that of the pseudo translation functions?

Hoping all this has been of your interest and looking forward to hearing from you,

Regards form Jesus.

  • Hello Jesus,

I think you asked a question on this last week and didn't come back to the conversation:

    community.sdl.com/.../9529

But to try and answer your question. If you populated the target translation with a pseudotranslation then this is why the target went out with it... you put it there. If you only want the target in Spanish, and untranslated, then don't use the pseudotranslation. I think it would have been helpful if you had clarified your requirements last week and then you would probably get a more meaningful answer as I'm pretty sure this one isn't going to help you a lot either. What exactly are you trying to achieve?

    Regards
