Hello, since upgrading to SDL 2017, I can no longer use the "Translate single document" function. I now must create a project to work around it. Do others experience this problem?

Hi,
instead of using the “Drag & Drop” technique to translate a single document (which involves the DropFiles folder) without using a standard SDL Studio project procedure, the solution, as suggested by Paul (CTRL+SHIFT+O), is to click “browse” on top of Welcome page:
Select the single file you need to translate and then click on “Translate single document”.
Then select (from “Use…”) the TM you intend to use (if you have one), or create it from scratch (“+ Create Translation Memory…). You may ignore this dialog and define the TM later with the “Project settings”.
Let SDL to create the SDLXLIFF file and, when the import finishes, in the “Editor” view press CTR+S to save the project.
The first time you press CTRL+S you have to define a folder where to save the “automated” project itself (choose the same folder containing the original document).
Now, in the folder containing the original file you will have three files:
This procedure does not create any file in the C:\Users\[Username]\Documents\Studio 2017\Projects\DropFiles and never caused to me any sort of “freezing, error messages or hanging”.
I hope this may further help.
