I received a package from a client and when I opened it, some target (Greek) words were inserted in the source (German) segments. They look like tags. I also receive an error message saying that something is wrong with the termbase. I reorganised it but still I can see the Greek words/tags in the German text. Can someone help me?

Most of those are placeholder tags (the square ones without pointy edges).
I suspect, the file type is XML? What does the File Type Identifier say in the files view?
Most likely your client is using special file type settings, so I would consult with them about how they are processing the files.
