This should help you install the plugin correctly- noting that once you have installed the file type, you need to activate this under  File> Options> File Types> Additional File Types Exist.

Once you have followed the Wiki, please let me know if you are still having problems.

I am going through the wiki trying to follow all the steps. I have come to Studio Subtitling Plugin. There I have finished the two steps. However, on the background I see three other plugins that I don't see. The first step under File Type Plugins says 'Download the File Type plugins to your local drive.' My question is from where should I download those file type plugins? Furthermore in Studio 2019 I don't see 'the 'Additional installed File Types exist' link' where that link is supposed to be.

Hopefully you can see where I am and help me further ...

Once you have successfully installed the subtitling app- you need to install the relevant file types-

https://appstore.sdl.com/list/?search=Subtitling

The app and file types should be installed locally.

Thank you very much for your answer. The link was very helpful. I downloaded the file types and I now understand where they could be found. I installed them and then I could import the corresponding files.

Hello PIETRO SFERRINO,

Your screenshot is showing you are in Project Settings /File types.

Here you will only see the file types and not the media/video required for the app to work.

When you set up the project- you need to add the subtitle file type and the media file-

For example- here you see the SRT subtitle file  and the corresponding media file (MP4)

Now once you open the project in the editor view you will see the subtitling icons

If the video isn't connected- click as per below to establish the connection.

This should now work fine for you.
