How to get SRT file format / Video path

Question

How do we generate subtitles for the subtitled video - Do I have to type the text, manually in Word document, and convert to SRT? 
 How do we convert to SRT file format - I tried conversion from ( https://toolslick.com/conversion/subtitle/txt-to-srt ) but when I put it into SDL it does not work 
 Message error below 
 "Attempted to devide by zero" 
 
 There is not video path displaying. 
 
 When I click on Setting (at right) SDL closes out.

 To use Studio subtitling, you need both the .SRT and Media files that you add to the project. 
 What exactly are the files types that have received? 
 Im not familiar with the online tool that you have mentioned, but if you are trying to create your own SRT file, the error may be due a badly formed file.

 SDL Trados Studio and the subtitling plugins are designed to handle SRT (and other subtitling formats) and not create them. 
 If you already have the media file, please ask your client for the subtitling (text) file as you do need both.
