To use Studio subtitling, you need both the .SRT and Media files that you add to the project.

What exactly are the files types that have received?

Im not familiar with the online tool that you have mentioned, but if you are trying to create your own SRT file, the error may be due a badly formed file.

SDL Trados Studio and the subtitling plugins are designed to handle SRT (and other subtitling formats) and not create them.

If you already have the media file, please ask your client for the subtitling (text) file as you do need both.

I do have the subtitlting text file. I just have in a word docx format. What I don't knwow is how to turn it into SRT.
