Global Settings Project Settings
1) Global settings are the 'default' settings' for Trados Studio- where you set the rules, on how Trados Studio should handle your projects and files.
For instance, you can set the preferred 'Spell Checker' (Hunspell is the default option and is recommended by most users) or
select 'Automation'- which lets you change the general settings for your TM's
We will go into more detail, explaining the most important options and settings in the relevant following chapters.
2) Project settings : These are settings used for your individual projects.
You will notice that there are fewer options in 'Project Settings'.
This is simply because most of the important settings have already been set 'out of the box'- or changed by the user under 'Global Settings'.
Under the individual project settings, you will see the name of the project, check the location of where the project is being saved, allow source editing and even change the TM settings.
