After you have created a project in Trados Studio, you can quickly register a translation job based on it. Before doing this, check the following:
- You have created a customer in SDL Trados Business Manager and added default prices for this customer (or, at least you should have general default rates created in TBM).
- You have create necessary specialization in TBM, as it will be needed to select it before creating a job.
Steps:
- Select a project in the SDL Trados Studio
- Click Create a job/project button on the SDL Trados Studio toolbar.
The Customer, Currency, Specialization and Project fields allow to select data from your TBM database. In the Language field you can leave All value (all languages will be transferred into a job) or you can select specific language. - If you select a project in this dialog, then all jobs will be created inside a specified project. If you leave project empty, then TBM will create a job if Studio project has only one language, or a project if Studio project has multiple languages.
- Select OK to start creating a job or a project.
- Switch to Trados Business Manager, where you will see default analysis results import window. Click OK to finish importing analysis results.
- A new job or project will be created (with correct sequential number, filled-in fields, picked-up prices, etc.) and job/project editing form will be opened in TBM. In the following example, Studio project had 2 languages, and TBM created a new project with 2 jobs:
You can adjust information and select Save to confirm changes. Your job is registered in the system, linked with Trados project, and ready to be invoiced.
