Problems when trying to deactivate my license

When opening SDL Trados Studio 2014 Freelance Plus a pop-up window warns about an error when trying to recover the license. One of the options is "off-line deactivation" but after trying to generate the certificate I get another error message "Cannot deactivate license". Please I need help with this as I've been struggling several days with this issue.

I don't even see any of the old projects "ongoing" projects from Trados 2014

Why not?  Where was the project stored?   Can you open the location in Windows (not Studio) and show us a screenshot of what's in there?

when I try to open the file I worked on directly anew - it opens the initial unedited version... where the changes I made are absent.

It sounds to me as though you are opening up the sdlppx which of course won't contain any changes.  That is not your project, it's the package you were sent that will be converted to a project when you open it.

Since I didn't receive any further answers on this from the team I imagine SDL doesn't have a solution for this issue.

I think we've been clear on this.  The solution is in your hands, there is nothing for RWS (there is no SDL anymore) to do here.
