Figuring out XPath query for use with Multilingual XML file type

I've literally spent hours reading up on the Multilingual XML file type and XPath queries. The best I can come up with for filling in the Language Mapping > Languages Root field is this, but it doesn't work:

Trados Studio Language Mapping settings showing Languages Root field with an XPath query and two language mappings for German and English with error icons.

This is the XML file:

XML code snippet from Trados Studio with elements TIDEATeamTranslation and TTtranslationItem, attributes for format, project name, username, source and target languages.

I'm also happy to share the original XML file.

Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong more than welcome!

Thanks in advance!

Eva

I haven't tried to test this as I don't want to type out the file, but looking at what you have done I think you need the root from your first example, and the languages from your second.  The root is there to help the filetype know where to find the languages.  So if you don't specify the full path up to the location of the languages then this won't work.

    So try these:

Screenshot of Trados Studio showing the Languages Root field with an absolute XPath query for locating the languages root element.

Screenshot of Trados Studio displaying a list of languages with German (Germany) marked as the original text and English (United States) as the translated text.
