SDL 2017 Professional (Network SN) Activation Problem

Dear SDL team,

I am Xuany from Saltlux.

I have been using SDL 2017 Professional (Network SN) since July.

All is going well until yesterday.

The program asked for activation even there is no one using my account.

I tried to activate it again but it didn’t work.

Could you please kindly help me to check this urgently cause we are proceeding the projects.

In addition, we have three computers more which we want to use this account, is that possible?

If needed, you can access to my computer to take a look via team view.

 

Please kindly help me ASAP.

    After taking a look at your account, it appears you activated the network license on the 30th October (taking into consideration your time zone and ours GMT) it would appear you may have resolved the problem.

    Can you confirm?

    The 2017 Network license can ONLY be used on one machine at any given time.

    The 2015 network licenses can be used on 3 machines concurrently.

    Thank you so much for getting back to me.
    Yes. I tried to activate on my PC last night but it didn't work.
    And now I can't open my studio project to work. :(
    Normally there is only my PC use the account since the day we activate on my computer.
    But now we have three more PMs, so how can we use this account for the other PMs too?
    The 2017 Network license can ONLY be used on one machine at any given time, so does it mean if I can log into my account then I need to deactivate it then other people can use?

    Could you please kindly help me to check these issues?

    It would appear that you tried to activate the license as a single user license- as opposed to a 'network' license. 

    What you will need now to do- is access your SDL account- DOWNLOADS

    and first install the License Server Manager (LSM) v1.0.347 (please read the notes before doing so)

     

     

    Because we use SAFENET licensing technology- licenses can be activated locally or via a dedicated server- but the process is always the same in that the license MUST be activated via the LSM and then Studio must be directed to the computer name (not the server name).

    When installed and activated correctly- each time you (any user) shut down the machine, the license should be automatically returned (so another user can pick it up if required- but only one user can use 2017 at any given time).

    So based on your current license situation-

    you may have three users on 2015 and 1 user on 2017 at any given time- assuming all license are correctly activated via the LSM.

    P.S.- I have had your license reset- so once you have LSM installed you can reuse the license.
