Mostly when I begin to dictate after the first word I get a failure message as "index and length of the string must be in the same position. Parameter: length

Hi I use Trados 2017 and Dragon. Mostly when I begin to dictate after the first word in a field I get a failure message as "index and length of the string must be in the same position. Parameter: length (might be similar because the message is in German). When I close the message I can continue but have to remove one of two insert spaces. Sounds like not a big issue but if you do it files with 1000 or more fields it is annoying and delays work. It happens only in Trados 2017 where the first letter of the first word in a field changes automatically upper letter. In earlier versions that failure did not appear. I always hope that bug will be fixed with the next update but without any result.

  • Thank you Paul for your help. Looking forward to hear from you.
By the way maybe you have an idea about another problem I have with Trados 2017.
With big files it happens that Trados becomes very slow after a while sometimes I have to wait 10 minutes and more or to kill Trados and restart it and recover the last done work from the TM. When that happens it shows that Trados uses between 99% and 100% processor performance. I work with a 1 Terra SSD, 12 Giga Ram and an i7 processor. Don't think the hardware is the reason. Any idea? Sorry if a bother you with a different proplem as well but it seems you have a lot of experiences and maybe you have a solution handy.
    Thanks a lot
