Mostly when I begin to dictate after the first word I get a failure message as "index and length of the string must be in the same position. Parameter: length

Hi I use Trados 2017 and Dragon. Mostly when I begin to dictate after the first word in a field I get a failure message as "index and length of the string must be in the same position. Parameter: length (might be similar because the message is in German). When I close the message I can continue but have to remove one of two insert spaces. Sounds like not a big issue but if you do it files with 1000 or more fields it is annoying and delays work. It happens only in Trados 2017 where the first letter of the first word in a field changes automatically upper letter. In earlier versions that failure did not appear. I always hope that bug will be fixed with the next update but without any result.

No I do not have installed what you have mentioned above. Even did not know that these are applications. Linguee and Pons I know as webpages only. I have to check the suggestions in the knowledgebase while I use "360 Total Security" as virus software. I have added Trados now. I will see whether that helps. Extensions cannot be added there. And I never use the Internet Explorer but Google and Firefox. Well I will see what other threads here say about that problem.

One more thing about the original problem: the failure messages appears even without Dragon, as Nora mentioned before. I do not know how often because most of the time I dictate - but happened as well. Might be the problem is not linked with Dragon only with the automatic capitalization. I have deactivated it now as Bruce suggested. Will see whether that helps.
    Thank you
    Peter

They are webpages only.  The weblookup tool comes with these webpages configures by default.
