This helps, but seriously, ctrl B= make it bold, again ctrly B= make it not bold. Is this too hard to implement... Bold is older than tags... 

Knowing that almost 80% of content localization come in word form, and anything that has a bolding content in it is shown as that instead of merely just with tags, a sensible developer would "SPEND" time for what makes sense for most regular translators. More complex content come in other platforms anyways, not Trados, usually, to me. Anyways. Thank you for the secondary solution.

Showing bold as bold is a bad idea. As described above, in most cases another font will be used. The software has not to show WYSIWYG, but to tell me exactly what kind of formatting is being used there. Otherwise I produce crap translation and the layouter will be quite angry with that. The translation world is not only localization. And Studio is not a specialized localization tool.

Again, I am not working on a complicated file. It is a word file with numerous bold sections like this. So my suggestion would be much better. If there would be another font, then, the tag comes into play. 

Your Word file contains segments with a bold style applied. So the author of this text did not intend using not bold in that paragraphs. For me this is all. If the author of the text would have intended using not bold in these paragraphs, the way these are formatted should have been different.

Yeah, so, I created this file from a pdf that has bolds in it, making the company names bold etc. mimicking the PDF scans. And I definitely intended it to just become bold. Not some rocket science equivalent of tag alternative. 

I never said it is rocket science. This is simply the way it works here. A paragraph is bolded, so the tags for this are treated external and kept out of the paragraph. Most of the translators I know are thankful not to have to see any tags. So from this point of view keeping all unnecessary information out of sight is the best help the program can give you. And once again, even if other tools offer that, I still think, that a CAT tool is not really intended to insert any extra formatting into the translated documents. This is not the aim of such program.

My God, you have time to write. I just checked memsource, it also does as I would suggest. MemoQ, Wordfast, memsource are also cat tools. Anyways, good night/day. 

It seems like would this tools better suit your purposes.

I work on very complicated projects and very simple projects. I would like a tool that works in most conditions easily, saves me time and complies with my Microsoft Office habbits to the extent reasonably possible. Don't make it sound like MemoQ is less advanced. Or what I am suggesting/asking is a complicated gibberish. Good night. Sir.

Taken this example into another world: I drive BMW and expect it to look and feel like a BMW. When I wanted a Mecedes, I wouldn't buy a BMW. And there is no Mercedes which has exactly the same features as BMW. The other way round there is no BMW offering exactly the same as Mercedes.

So find a tool for your purpose and accept, that there might be different ways of doing things. No tool will be perfect and most probably there will be no tool to satisfy al your needs and all the needs of other translators in just one package.
