Certification - Doubts and Questions 2

Hello again ;)

My second mystery question is about how to select a term base from the Translation memory and Document Settings Window. We are using the French version of Studio, and thus have some issue finding this window. Could it be “Paramètres du Projet” ?

Then, we are again offered 4 different answers, with none of them seeming to apply:

  • “Advanced / All Language pairs / Termbases / Add”
  • “Add / Your Language pair / Termbases / Add”
  • “Advanced / Your Language pair / Termbases / Add”
  • “Add / Termbases / Browse”

I would have answered the first, BUT there is no “Advanced”-field in the window “Paramètre du projet”. So maybe I’m completely wrong?

Would someone help me further?

  • Hi Ingrid,

This one is indeed tricky. I use Studio every single day, many hours a day and couldn't for the life of me remember where the Translation Memory and Document Settings Window was, until... I tried opening a single file for translation. When you do that, you get exactly that window (which I never noticed was called that). In that window, there's an "Advanced" button in the bottom left., so that already reduces the answer to either 1 or 3, but if you follow the steps you will see that you can only add a termbase under All Language pairs. Keep in mind that if you're using the latest version of Studio, the button you need to click isn't called "Add", but "Use". Still, I think the answer is 1.
