Cursor jumping out of Studio target segment while Multiterm recognises terms

Yesterday I started using a new computer with Windows 10 and Office 2016. I installed and updated the latest versions of Studio and Multiterm. Since then, the cursor always jumps out of the Studio target segment while Multiterm is recognising and marking terms in the source segment. I've just now discovered that I can return the cursor to the target segment by pushing on F6, as well of course as using the mouse, but this is awfully frustrating extra trouble.

I see nothing about this in the Knowledge Base. Hopefully someone knows a solution!

  • Hello Lingua Norðan Jökuls (LinguaNorðan Jökuls) ,

This is an issue that has been reported a couple of occasions, but so far we have so far not been able to reproduce the source of the problem.

However, as you have stated you have started to use a new W10 machine-

I suspect this might have something to do with drivers and/or keyboard/mouse/mouse pad (mouse pad could be too sensitive for instance).

First of all I would suggest ensuring ALL of your drivers (Mouse, Touchpad and Keyboard device drivers) are up-to-date (using a new Windows machine, may mean your drivers are already outdated)

Ensure that the Mouse battery is OK.

Run your antivirus software scan to rule out the possibility of some malware causing this.

    Does any of this help?
