This is an issue that has been reported a couple of occasions, but so far we have so far not been able to reproduce the source of the problem. 

However, as you have stated you have started to use a new W10 machine-

I suspect this might have something to do with drivers and/or keyboard/mouse/mouse pad (mouse pad could be too sensitive for instance).

First of all I would suggest ensuring ALL of your drivers (Mouse, Touchpad and Keyboard device drivers) are up-to-date (using a new Windows machine, may mean your drivers are already outdated)

Ensure that the Mouse battery is OK.

Run your antivirus software scan to rule out the possibility of some malware causing this.

As this issue so rarely occurs and we are unable to recreate it, it seems to be a trial and error situation until we can identify the culprit.

Can you try disabling the track/mouse pad (if you are using a Laptop).

Does this make any difference?

Could you give me the full specs of your Laptop (name/model etc) and other peripheral hardware/keyboard please ,as it really sounds odd to have so many mouse options.

When I look at my settings (also a Laptop- with mouse pad and external keyboard and wired mouse- all I get is the following-

Hardware, PhilipVogler.docxI went through all the Profile and it seems to me that I have filled out everything correctly and as completely as possible. All I saw that I could do yet was add an automatic signature, which I did even if I doubt that was any problem. In any case, I don't understand that when I open a thread, as I did to start this conversation, and specifically choose to get e-mail notifications, that it then hasn't happened, at least not for many years.

I tried in the attached screenshot to show all of the hardware that I think you mean. I should emphasise that I'm far from being any computer whiz, so feel unsure about what terms mean - I just want Studio and other programs to work the way they're supposed to.

It took me a while to find this when I saw the red number 1 at the top of the screen, since I didn't realise there could be extra pages too.

Now I tried to drag the screenshot image into this box but that doesn't seem to work at all. You mention sending it as an e-mail attachment but I haven't found your e-mail address anywhere.

Firstly thank you for allowing me to work with you on a remote webex.

The good news is that we have now been able to fix the issue and everything now seems to be in working order.

The problem, was that each time you performed an action in the target segment  ie. confirmed a segment/copied source to target/manually translated the segment... the cursor would blink in the next segment just once or twice and then jump of screen or disappear entirely.

As you made me aware that you use multiple mice at the same time I checked your drivers and found that your technician had copied an old driver (from an old system) that was still very much active and appeared to be causing a conflict which we then deleted.

We then noticed that the cursor no longer jumped in Windows reset (default layout) but still jumped if you unpinned the Term recognition window.

By changing the setting is FILE OPTIONS EDITOR and un-ticking the box Perform Search if the TM returns no results.

There are no more errors either in default layout mode or unpinned.
