I receive an error message when trying to open the translated word file in the format I saved it in.

Dear Trados Natives,

I would be so grateful if there was someone who could help me once again...

When I saved my final translation from Trados into the target word format it seemed to work. However, when I try to open this file I receive this message (in German...):

Error message in Microsoft Word stating 'The file Katalog_2018_zeigen_original.docx cannot be opened because its content causes problems.' with a Details button for more information.

 

I'm not sure, what I have done wrong?! And then the difficulty becomes greater because when I try to look at the preview of the document with the "Print & View" option, the document is in a terrible format and half is missing!?! So I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here either!

    I'll send you the file, but actually I think you're absolutely right. Because there is no Microsoft Office on the virtual machine, the files that I put in the shared folder are originally docx files but can only be read as "Office Open xml" files there. I cannot send you the file in that format because when I put it back into the shared file, it's seen as a docx file again. And because I have no contact with the internet when I'm in the the Virtual Workstation (that was the reason I had to create it, to be able to run Studio 2017 on my "university" laptop) I cannot send it to you in that version... Do you have an idea as to what I could do now?
