Studio 2019: Is there a way to remove the warning windows on the project creation page?

Hi,

I work a lot (actually always) with project templates. Each time I changeTrados Studio pop-up message asking for confirmation to proceed with changes in project template settings with Yes and No buttons. of template I get a message on which I have to click and the same when I name the project.

I find this annoying. Is there a way to disable this behaviour?

With kind regards, Manuella

  • I do use templates the same way you do. Might be, that you first add files and the project name and THEN first select the template? If so, you should select the template in the very first step of project creation. You will then see one message about the change, but it should not appear anymore.

  • Hi Jerzy,

I am happy to hear from someone who also uses many templates! The selection of the template is the FIRST step that I take. The only way to avoid the message is to use the steps approach (like in 2017) but then why do we have a one page project creation.

I never had this issue with 2017 but in  2019 I get irritated each time. It is not a major issue but just this repetitive small thing that gives me the needle.

  • Hi Manuella

Having this message once is typical, as when you change from current to another template, changes are applied and the message is OK. However, it should NOT appear the second time. It will also not appear, if you create the project based on the same template as previous project.

    Some thoughts about it:

    - Do you change languages in the project after selecting the template?
    - Is the template you're using set as the default one?

Otherwise I see no reason for the second message...
