Perhaps it's rather a sign saying that the way you work with the templates is not as it was intended?

The purpose of templates is actually that they should NOT be changed, at least not that often that such message would get annoying...
Why do you change the templates so often that this message is a problem?

I have made templates for clients, for domains (e.g; technical, art, human resources etc.) and per languages. So I can have a template "Technical UK-FR" and another one "Technical NL-FR". This is very practical because the termbase and TM are automatically loaded. So each time I start a project I have to see which template should be used.

I am therefore a bit 'surprised' by your answer and I would not understand why having templates if we can not adapt them to our needs.

I do use templates the same way you do. Might be, that you first add files and the project name and THEN first select the template? If so, you should select the template in the very first step of project creation. You will then see one message about the change, but it should not appear anymore.

I didn't say anything about not using templates... I was talking about the WAY OF USING the templates, so that you get the message so often that it gets annoying.

I am happy to hear from someone who also uses many templates! The selection of the template is the FIRST step that I take. The only way to avoid the message is to use the steps approach (like in 2017) but then why do we have a one page project creation.

I never had this issue with 2017 but in  2019 I get irritated each time. It is not a major issue but just this repetitive small thing that gives me the needle.

Having this message once is typical, as when you change from current to another template, changes are applied and the message is OK. However, it should NOT appear the second time. It will also not appear, if you create the project based on the same template as previous project.

Some thoughts about it:

- Do you change languages in the project after selecting the template?
- Is the template you're using set as the default one?

Otherwise I see no reason for the second message...
