I think you need a blank line between entries if you use the default PO filetype.  I think it's normal to have a blank line, but I also don't believe it's mandatory... need to check that before logging a bug.

So I'd recommend you use the PO filetype on the appstore as that will handle this file without any problems at all...blank lines or not.

In the meantime I opened the file you have provided with the appstore filetype and it works fine for me:

My guess is you are not preparing your project correctly, or you simply didn't prepare it again using the correct filetype.

It's clear to me that you are not using the appstore filetype.  I suggest you look in your filetypes under File -> Options -> Filetypes and make sure that you can see the appstore filetype there.

If you see this:

Then perhaps you simply didn't complete the installation, in which case click on that message and add it:

but 1 question I want to ask is that "msgid_plural" text will not extract for translation??

It should work like this... using the small test file and the default filetype which also provides a simple preview:

So it correctly extracts the plural forms for translation.

I can't tell anything from your screenshot and notes for several reasons:

• I don't have the full source file
• I can't see how the header has been constructed
• I don't know which filetype you are using

Too many unknowns to help you here I'm afraid.  So hopefully seeing how it should work will encourage you to investigate what may be wrong with your source file.

Your file is missing the "Plural-Forms" header: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gettext#Plural_form

I'm not sure if this is required by the PO format, but it seems to be required by the plugin.

All in all, your file seems to be created by someone/tool without enough knowledge about the PO format and its syntax and semantics.

may be thats why "Plural-Forms: nplurals=3; plural=n==1 ? 0 : n==2 ? 1 : 2;\n"  is not .available in the file.

I think it's about time you go back to your client and explain that their file has not been constructed correctly.  Aside from the problems caused by not leaving a blank line between entries (debatable whether this is a requirement or not but it certainly makes the file more readable), the reason you don't see all the plural forms is because the file is not constructed correctly.

The header is there, so this isn't the problem (in my opinion).  But you have things like this:

msgid "@count contextual link"
msgid_plural "@count contextual links"
msgstr[0] ""

I believe it should probably be this to ensure you get the plural:

msgid "@count contextual link"
msgid_plural "@count contextual links"
msgstr[0] ""
msgstr[1] ""

If you make these corrections in your sample file then they are all extracted.
