I have just updated to Trados Studio 2021, i have also updated multiterm. but How do I get back the glossaires and documents i had in the previous version.
I had glossaries, and I also had aligned 2 documents.
Updating shoudl not mean that you lose everything you had before right? There must be aa way to get it back, because in the end it's the same user, the only thing that changes is the license number.

Yes, your glossaries and TMs should be in the same place in your hard drive.
Maybe all you need to do is add them to your project or option settings in Trados Studio 2021.
Where in my hard drive is it? Sorry this may seem a silly question. And how do I add them?

Assuming you came from Studio 2019 the default location for your projects would be here:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019\Projects\
The default location for your Translation Memories would be here:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019\Translation Memories\
Your Glossaries don't have a default location so you'll have to think about where you saved them with the old version. At the end of the day all of these resources can be saved wherever you like so there is no guarantee they will be in the default location either.
The best way, if you really have no idea where these are, is to navigate to here:
c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\
Then search for these:
*.sdltb
That will find your glossaries.
*.sdltm
That will find your Translation Memories.
*.sdlproj
That will find your Studio projects.
In all cases [USERNAME] refers to the username you are using on YOUR computer, whatever that may be.
And how do I add them?
How did you add them in the previous version? It's exactly the same.

I went to c:\Users\[USERNAME]\Documents\Studio 2019\ but i dont find what you are mentioning.
This is the only thing i find:
If I click inside i dont see what im looking for. Adn when you say this
you'll have to think about where you saved them with the old version.
I did not save them anywhere that i know because i thougt i ust had to add the terms and TRADOS would keep it forever, it never occured to me that with an update i would have to pass my information myself. I had no idea i had to do that, why dont people tell you that before?

You had to make a decision at some point to create these resources. When you do this you also have to say where you want to save them.
Please can you tell me what you are referring to when you say "add the terms"?

Add the terms, im talking about the terms i added as i worked on new translations in trados. I already had a glossary with 500 terms, let's say, but as i did more translations, i added more terms to the glossary. I did not know where those terms would end. I thought they would be kept in the trados system not in my computer. But it's ok now. I hope.
Although I have solved the problem now, I have a few questions.If my computer breaks down, and it does not work, let's suppose i cant save the hard disk either? I would lose my information right?

2. Now that trados has its own cloud everything gets automatically saved there? I dont have to save them, do they get automatically saved?

You should keep a backup and this doesn't have to be in the cloud. You could, and should, keep a backup on an external drive and regularly back up your work and important resources.

Your resources will only get saved in the cloud if you created them there in the first place. Cloud resources are not the same as your local resources. Probably the best solution if you want to do this is to always create cloud projects with cloud TMs and Termbases. Then add a local TM and Termbase to your project settings afterwards. This way you can always update both of them and you'll never lose anything. You will have to be quite disciplined, but it is a solution if you really want to work with resources in the cloud.

I always recommend daily backups of valuable assets: Trados ongoing projects, TMs, TBs, accounting, sales tracking information, etc.
There are several ways and tools to do your backups, each with its security level. You'll need to check the options.
