I don't have this contextual menu since a long time ago because I don't use it. I have documented the procedure to remove this key in Registry Editor:
So I don't have the option menu Translate in SDL Trados Studio in Windows Explorer, but right now I have this key in the Registry Edito! So I must have done something more or something else… and I didn't document how I tweak it, sorry. Anyway it's a starting point. Also, I remember that the option menu came back with any big SDL update.
Please, use the Registry Editor at your own risk. I recommend to back it up before editing.
wow
I have just noticed it
I have the same one here
That... is... useless
.period.
Well, maybe it is useless for you. But it has more or less the same usability as a double click. Some people use it, some not.
I agree, that the best would be to have an option for this, but I wouldn't call it useless. Provided the number of people using double click for everything this option might be quite useful for them.

Download the free utility ShellMenuView (https://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shell_menu_view.html) and open it.
"Translate in Trados Sudio" should be right at the top of the list (if not look for it), then right click it and choose "Disable Selected Items" and voilà, you're done, the option is no longer available in the explorer context menu. And you can re-enable it anytime you want using this same utility.
