Regarding the path, you can edit the project template in File > Setup > Project Templates. Then open the template you wish, and edit the Location field. Everytime you select that project template, the path will change accordingly. Your templates might look something like this:

Of course, you can edit the location to suit your needs for every template.

Regarding your due date issue, I don’t know where the date is coming from, but you can click on the button Today to save time:

You did not setup your project template properly - follow the advice of Jesús Prieto and adapt the path offered in the template. If there is no path stored, Studio will always offer the path from previous project.

My question regarding the path was why the path for each client is not automatically retained in the location field based on the information for the first project when the project template for said client was being created? Why would Studio offer as the Location Path, the location path from a recent project for a another customer? It makes no sense. I understand that the Project Templates can be manually edited but why should this step be considered preferable to Studio simply automatically retaining the location field based on the information for the first project when the project template for said client was created? Even if slight corrections are needed afterwards, it will still be better than offering the path for a completely different client.

Because the whole idea of the project template is that you set the location and that's it.  It doesn't dynamically change... it uses as the location whatever you set it to be.  Anything else would be senseless in my opinion.

Why don't you use the project templates as they are designed to be used?

So why don't you set the path from the start?  Same thing isn't it?  If you update the template when you create the project (and you are presented with this option at the end of the project creation process) then it will do exactly what you want.

From my point of view the project location workflow is clear: whether you add a project location (at anytime) or you have the option of going ahead with your latest project path.

Also I wouldn't really know if I considered that a project template is first created when I duplicate a project template and then edit it.
