Select all bug in search box, Trados 2021

Hello:

Although this might seem minor or not important, it caught my attention because I'm used to shortcuts instead of manually selecting with mouse.

When I try to select any given line of text in the search box (Ctrl+A), unlike in Trados 2017, it won't do anything. I know I can do it with Shift + left/right arrow, but I'm more used to using the other shortcut.

Is this a bug or an intended change in Trados 2021?

Many thanks.

  • Hey, Lydia.  I've never customized any shortcut options in Trados 2017, and this particular shortcut is the same in Trados 2021. Perhaps I wasn't clear enough: I can't select any full line of text or complete phrases (instead of individual words) in the Trados 2021 search box with the Ctrl+A shortcut , whereas I can in Trados 2017, for some reason. I assume this is a bug or either an intended change, which is what I want to confirm and, in that case, report it so it can be corrected. Could you try doing this in your version of Trados (which I assume it's 2021?)?  Thanks for replying to my post!
