We acquired Trados Studio Freelance Plus 2021 a few months ago (for 2 PCs).
Recently, I tried the free NMT service with our new SDL Trados.
It worked well from English to French but did not work from French to English.
On my request, (I have no service plan), I had a remote session with a SDL tech, to solve the problem. After 45 minutes, it seems to be working when the tech had installed a “weaver plug-in” for that NMT, but ...
I closed SDL Trados to do something else.
When I came back to Trados, the NMT French to English was not working anymore.
I did restarted my computer.
And then – after starting Trados – I had a little window with this error message:
Error "Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.IActionService could not be started"
SDL Trados will not start.
I went on the community pages to try to solve the problem with no success.
(Even using that Trados Freshstart app.)
I do not have access to my Trados anymore and I'm waiting for a solution on that issue which is quite annoying, for a software of that price !
I really cannot understand why they (SDL) offer us that NMT free service when it is not working properly .
I feel a bit like a hostage here. Anyone has a solution, pretty please?
