Studio doesn't open after trying to install Business_Manager_Lite2021.5.3.5.plugin in order to migrate my MBLite 5.0 data to MB Essential 6.1

This is the error I get:

Error message window titled 'Error' with a red X icon, indicating that 'Sdl.Desktop.Platform.CommandBars.IActionService' could not be started. It includes details such as Type, HelpLink, Source, HRESULT, and Stacktrace with system exception information.

I'm in a panic as I can now not only not work with BMLite or Essential but not even with Studio.

Please let me know how to solve this.

    I'm working with Studio 2021 and have Business Manager Lite 5.0 installed.
    I upgraded to Business Manager Essential 6.0 back in May thinking it was the same application but couldn't migrate my data because they are two separate and different programs and there was no migration path back then.
     
    As BMLite stopped working when I upgraded the license, SDL/RWS extended my BMLite license until last week and did provide a migration option which I hadn't had the chance to try until today.
     
    I installed the latest version of Business Manager Essential (6.1) but the exported json file from BMLite could still not be imported so I then installed the latest Business_Manager_Lite2021.5.3.5 plugin, thinking this is what I needed for the json file to be correct.
     
    Unfortunately, Studio doesn't open anymore and I get the above message.
