Hi Alison, today I faced the same thing, but Studio opens, but the subitle plugin does not work at all, and I can not access its settings for add a video path. I even installed the latest SR2, thinking that this might fix the problem, but I got another issue and SDL Studio MTCould files caused a problem that crashed Studio, so I had to remove them manually, and only then Studio opened, but the Subtitling plugin does not work still! Very frustrating experiences to say the least, and happening in the Middle of ongoing projects.

Please can you do what we already suggested and remove the plugin completely then reinstall via the appstore. The subtitling plugin has had several releases in recent months as a result of changes due to various Studio releases that forced us to maintain multiple versions. The changelog is here and is always worth checking:

I deleted the plug-ins, and re-downloaded the Subtitling one. I did this about a month ago and to be honest I've been living in fear of closing Trados ever since because it was also working fine until I restarted (the first time round).
So, Sameh, since you asked - I closed down and reopened Trados - aaaand, I don't want to jinx it, but it is still working at the moment. I have not however restarted my laptop, so that may well set the whole thing off again!
Let's see. I have to say I don't have much trust in it just 'working', hence my not restarting my laptop/Trados in basically a month!

OMG Alison, keeping a laptop opened out of fear that a plugin would fail is really impossible to imagine! I wish you luck in finalizing your project then maybe checking this again. Thanks a lot for your reply. I shall try now what Paul suggested.
