Ever since I upgraded from 2019 to 2021(1 month ago), I haven't been able to open up a Studio _return_ pkg. When I double-click on the return pkg, Studio opens a new instance and takes me to my project list. This never happened to me with any of my previous versions of Studio.
When a problem occurs after an upgrade or update, the first thing to try is a Windows Repair of Studio (and MultiTerm components depending on what the problem is). This will repair software connections by checking for and replacing anything that is missing from their setup, for example.
Here is how:

Repairing your installation of Trados Studio
All the best,
Thank you Ali - I've tried all of these things, and nothing is helping. This problem has been here since the upgrade, so what should I do next? I appreciate it!
Hi again Michelle,
Sorry I couldn't help. Someone who works for RWS will surely be able to help you.
Paul would this be worth opening a case for so someone can take a look at Michelle's setup remotely?
I haven't received an answer yet from Paul - what is my next step?
for the time being can you use the open package icon in Trados Studio instead of double clicking the file?
Thanks, but isn't that for opening packages (as opposed to return packages)? When I try to use that icon on the home menu and navigage to where the return pkg is, the return pkg won't appear.

Nope... it's for all packages:
Thanks - let's make sure I'm on the same page with you.
If you mean this button...
I don't have all choices in my dropdown, only project files.
no, that’s for opening projects, not packages. I’ve shut down my computer now, but you should have the open package icon in your ribbon as well.
Well I've never had that on there, and I wish I knew how to get it to appear there. Any help would be appreciated!
