Hello,
I have a Word (*.docx) file with text content.
In this file there are three headings. When I import the file, one heading is not segmented for translation. Only when I select "All Content" in Trados, I see that this text is saved as "Wingdings" symbols although this text is saved as Arial in Word. What do I have to do so that I can also translate this text?

Missing "Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung" part... quite weird...
Sould be a Trados Bug
tested converting "Tag" into "Text"...

the same happening have happened earlier, million years ago...
Check the styles settings in Word, could be something weird there.

The document has Windings set as default style - can be checked by extracting the document or by seeing the preview of the Styles in MS word.
For certain styles based on the default style, this is extracted by Studio as Windings symbols.
The workaround here is to set a proper default font - can be done in the Font dialog > Set as the default font. Click here

Note that this changes the fonts in the file but then the text is extracted correctly by Studio.
We have raised this as defect CRQ-29326 to be checked by the development team.

Thank you, I have set the default value of the style sheets to Arial (instead of Windings) and now all texts are extracted in Trados, as it should be.
Wrong explanation
Because, "Sicherheitsvorschriften" part has the same style settings with "Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung" but it does not have any problem at all.

Wow! And you raised a case for this improperly formatted Word document? In Germany we say "ich fresse einen Besen"... Then I've seen crazy documents already, even many crazy documents over the past 32 years. But honestly, having someone defining the standard style with Wingdings is an ultimate MCA. Such a genius, really...
