Finalize translation (Trados) but .MQXLZ format!

Hello everyone,

I'm having a strange problem with a project I created with my Trados 2019: when I try to finalize the translation or when I use the function File > Save Target As, the format of the exported file is .mqxlz – meaning, I can't open it.

That's how the story went until now: I asked a translation agency to translate an Excel file into German. A linguist carried out the translation and everyone was happy – there were in fact no problems with the translation. After some months, I re-opened that translation and started working again on it. After two or three days (I really don't know what happened), there was no way for me to open that translation. The .sdlproj was still there, but it read "0 KB" and, as I said, I could not open it. I eventually discovered on this forum that that problem could not be solved and so I had to start again from scratch.

Since the entire translation had gone lost, I asked the translation agency if they could send me the file again, which they did. Based on the .sdlxliff file I received, I created another project. Everything seemed to be fine, but, again, it came out that exporting this file appears to be impossible.

Does anyone know how to solve this issue? I don't use MemoQ, so I really don't understand why Trados should export a translation in a non-native format.
