Cannot login, cannot access the Appstore

Trados Plugin Installer window showing installed Trados Studio versions with Trados Studio 2021 selected and Trados Studio 2022 grayed out, indicating incompatibility.

From Studio 2021 and now Studio 2022, I cannot login.

A message says I have no internet access ("Cannot connect to the cloud"). NB Here I am not trying to use the Cloud-based translation service proper.

Deactivating the antivirus has no effect.

One of the effects is: I cannot access the AppStore to get the Deepl plugin (listing says empty).

Clicking on Go to the Appstore fails.

A suggestion in the Community site recommends to erase a .bin file after making sure hidden files are listed. I have no such file
(in C:\Users\jfd\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17).

If I go separately to the appstore  via a browser, and download the plugin in its compatible version (6.0.1.0), the installer sees my Studio 2021 but not my Studio 2022.

I do have Studio 2022. It runs.

Then you absolutely should be able to see this folder:

    C:\Users\jfd\AppData\Roaming\Trados\Trados Studio\Studio17

It is impossible for this not to be there if you can run 2022.

Why is it not listed by te plugin installer?

I'll hazard a guess that you installed an old version of the plugin installer and this is running in preference to the one that is installed with 2022.  Guessing a bit, but you can see that my plugin installer application is from 2022 by the icon:

Screenshot of Trados Plugin Installer window with a red arrow pointing to the Trados Studio 2022 icon indicating the current version.

    Yours is an old one:

Image of Trados Plugin Installer window showing the header 'Installed Trados Studio versions' without any versions listed.

This could be part of the problem as an old one might not pick this up.

Why don't you use the integrated appstore in Trados Studio to find and install your plugins?  Here, from either the quick link at the top left of Trados Studio, or from the RWS AppStore link in the Welcome View:

Trados Studio interface showing the Welcome View with a red arrow pointing to the RWS AppStore link for installing plugins.

NB I did not remove Studio 2021 so far.

ok - has no relevance to this question.
