thank you for your answer. I was referring to the  Bilingual Excel file type. 

Everything seems to be clicked in the same way as in your screenshot.  I just tried again, same result. 

(I am not managing to attach a screenshot, otherwise I would have)

no,  if I go to the Project Settings window and Browse for XLSX file and press Preview I see it fine! I see the IT on the left and the EN on the right. 

But then I go to Bilingual Excel - Browse - Preview, it's still messed up. 

What should I do?

We are getting closer!

So if it is fine on your Project Settings > Preview, now you need to open the XLSX file. To do that, delete the file of your project and then add the same XLSX file. Prepare it as usual, an then everything should be fine in the Editor.

so sorry, in the meantime, before I procced as you say, I see that the 'Bilingual Excel' option which we moved up is at the right position in Project Settings, but when I go to 'Options', 'Bilingual Excel' to convert my file, the 'Bilingual Excel' is again below the Microsoft Excel 97-2003'. I don't know why. It is ok in Project Settings though.

Me neither , but regarding your issue you can really forget about the File > Options settings.

But that's how I open my Bilingual Excel file via the File - Options settings. I could go via a different route maybe?

yes, and when I do that it's ok. 

I go to Options - Bilingual Excel to then convert my file and use it in my TMs (following Paul's video). Maybe I'm doing sth (else) wrong at this stage? Am I not supposed to go to Options - Bilingual Excel - Brwose - Preview and then (it if was properly aligne) - OK? That's the path I'm following.

Ok, now please open your project, go to Files view (left pane), right click on the file on the right pane, and then select Update. The new project settings should be applied and then you will be able to open it in Editor.

Does it work?

I cannot open my project and go to Files view (left pane) I guess because mine is not a project, but just an Excel File I'm trying to import in my TMs. 

Unless of course I'm skipping a passage...

This is exactly how I’d do it: use the project named Transcript of records of Renato-[…]), confirm one more time, that the settings of the Bilingual Excel file type are correct, update the file in Files view. In Editor you'll get the columns you need, then update the TM (a new one or an old TM, whatever you need).

BTW: Where is Paul’s video you have mentioned?

That's a previous translation I was working on, NOT the Excel Bilingual file I'm trying to convert. It happens to be there because otherwise it wouldn't let me open the TM.
