I understand that you're having trouble opening some .docx files with Tracked Changes in Trados Studio 2019. This issue is known and is caused by a defect in the MS Word file type. Our development team is aware of this and a fix will be implemented in a future version of the filter.

In the meantime, here's a workaround that you can use:

Step 1: Open the .docx file in Microsoft Word.

Step 2: Accept all the tracked changes in the document. You can do this by going to the "Review" tab, then click on "Accept" and choose "Accept All Changes".

Step 3: Save the document.

Step 4: Try opening the document again in Trados Studio 2019.

Can you please also check if you have the latest updates on your trados studio 2019? I am asking this as I see on the SR2 of trados 2019 this issue has been addressed 

• XLIFF – The Error “The document cannot be processed because it contains unexpected contents” sometimes occurred in relation to applying an embedded RegEx filter. This is now fixed. (CRQ-18070) https://gateway.sdl.com/apex/communityknowledge?articleName=000010057
