What does that mean? I think you should explain this problem a lot better because we cannot see what you are doing or what's happening on your computer. I'm sure you can be a bit more explanatory than this. Would be good to know even the basics such as what version of the software are you using... what type of file are you attempting to translate... how did you prepare the project and with what filetype... how are you trying to save the translated file?

Thank you Paul for your message. I'm using trados 2024 updated version. I work with pdf files that I have converted with Adobe Acrobat to be recogninsed by Trados, otherwiise they are not, I 'm using single document translation. I include all the steps before starting my translation. Everything goes fine except when I view the document, the source and the target are mixed up and when I try to save the target I always get the source. I'll try hat was suggested above, i.e. adding a letter to the file name because apparently if you don't the two docs get mixed up as they are all stored in the same place. I'll try to do that. Thank you for your help . I'll keep you posted.
Indeed you must start by saving your target file just after creating your document, so that the target file is not overwritten in error after translating! I think this reminder point should be intergrated into the software, to save a lot of time and frustration!!!
