Lv.1, lv.2 and on are recognised as alphanumeric strings not as variables. You can confirm that if you remove Alphanumeric strings from the tokens recogonized in your last screenhsot (no more blue underscore below Lv.1) or if you press the shprtcut CTRL+comma in the Editor (Lv.1 will show up as an item to be inserted):

So thaa’s why Trados Studio doesn’t do what you expected.

And if you want a pre-translate solution you could try the Terminjector Plus: https://appstore.rws.com/Plugin/350

Both of them can manipulate the translation base don the original source using regex.
